Every year The Nordisk Film Foundation distributes more than DKK 2 millions. The purpose of The Foundation is to promote Danish film and television. More than 90 applications are received annually from areas as diverse as research and education, seminars and workshops, festivals and prize giving, media publications and project development etc. The foundation only supports Danish applicants.

The merger between the two companies resulted in formalizing The Nordisk Film Foundation. The Foundation has since then been set to help the Danish film production environment artistically and technically.
The Nordisk Film Foundation has over the years distributed approximately DKK 32 millions to development and preservation of electronic and film media in Denmark.
