The Nordisk Film Award and Erik Ballings Rejselegat
Every year The Nordisk Film Foundation distributes two awards, The Nordisk Film Award and Erik Ballings Rejselegat.
Up until 2008, The Nordisk Film Award was presented at Nordisk Film's birthday, on November 6. From 2008, the Nordisk Film Award ceremony will be part of the Danish Film Academy’s Robert Awards in February.
The Nordisk Film Award was instituted in 1996 by The Nordisk Film Foundation, which is part of The Egmont Foundation. The award is given to a person who has contributed in an extraordinary way to the Danish media environment. The award money consists of DDK 1.000 multiplied with the age of Nordisk Film. In 2008 the award will amount to 102,000 DKK.

2006: Cartoonist and director Anders Morgenthaler
2007: Director Peter Schønau Fog
2008: Director Henrik Ruben Genz
Erik Ballings Rejselegat was instituted on Nordisk Film’s 100 year Anniversary in 2006. The Award is presentated every year at Nordisk Film's birthday, on November 6. The award money consists of DDK 50.000.
