Nordisk Film Cinemas consist of 17 modern movie theaters in Denmark and one in Norway, with a total of 116 screens and more than 17,700 seats. We sell about half of all movie tickets in Denmark, totalling 5.4 million in 2007 alone.
The company’s flagship theater, the Imperial, is in downtown Copenhagen. With 1,102 seats, one gigantic screen, and exceptional equipment, it is the largest and best-equipped movie theater in Scandinavia. Furthermore, several of our Danish movie auditoriums offer digital film projection.
In the Fall of 2009, Nordisk Film Cinemas open the doors to a brand new cinema multiplex with six theatres and more than 900 seats in the Danish town of Randers.
Nordisk Film Cinemas operates two unique, web-based online services: the award-winning loyalty scheme BioZonen.dk, in which consumers can enroll as members and receive customized information, special offers and recommendations, and BioBusiness.dk – a business-to-business site offering online sales of company gift vouchers and auditorium rentals for conferences and events.
In the summer of 2008, Nordisk Film launched KINO.DK. On KINO.DK, movie lovers can read movie news and reviews, and see lots of trailers. In addition, the site offers a movie community with user generated content such as debate, ratings and quizzes as well as easy access to buying cinema tickets, DVDs and digital movie products.
Dansk Reklame Film, of which Nordisk Film owns the majority, is the only Danish company to sell and distribute national and local cinema advertizing. The company is also responsible for off-screen cinema activities such as lobby spots, samplings, and events. Finally, Dansk Reklamefilm publishes and sells adverts for the free Danish movie magazine, Film Guide.
