Nordisk Film Production
Nordisk Film is the leading film production company in the Nordic countries. We make feature films, animated features and documentaries, as well as television and comedy in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.
We have produced movies since 1906 and is involved in 10-15 Nordic film productions and co-productions on a yearly basis.
Our production department is called Nordisk Film Production. They cooperate closely with some of the leading directors from the Nordic countries and create a great selection of feature films for our local markets. Our primary focus is on family- and mainstream movies, but we have also produced crime series and art-house movies.
Nordisk Film is primarily known as a film production company, but television is also an important production area for us. To mention a few things, Nordisk Film has produced television documentaries about the Danish writer Karen Blixen/Isak Dinesen and painter P.S. Krøyer and the prize-winning international success “A Royal Family”.
Nordisk Film Production has a strong focus on talent development. As part of our effort to promote and develop new talent, Nordisk Film supports the Danish alternative film education Super16. They are based on the studio lot in Valby.
