We live in a time where movie stars record music albums. Models act in movies. Television hosts turn singers. Racing cyclists become dancers. The big question is: is it possible for a polar bear to turn musical? The answer is yes!
In 2006 Nordisk Film expanded its businesses. We bought a part of one of Denmark’s leading music companies, The Music Business Organisation A/S, MBO.
MBO is one of the big players on the Danish music scene. A wide range of different record labels are based in MBO’s structure. So no matter if you prefer to boogie or waltz MBO provides the music. There is room for twisting, disco dancing and head banging. One of MBO’s many labels will always provide music to your liking.
With the addition of MBO, the polar bear has broadened its perspective considerably. We now place our paw print on all major entertainment areas. But even though music is new to Nordisk Film, getting involved in the music business was a very logical step to take.
We believe that music is yet another and very well connected part of the same story we have been telling for a century. Actually that one ancient story is all about bringing the best stories to life. And in that perspective it doesn’t matter if we tell those stories to people watching a movie, to people in front of the TV, to people playing electronic games, or to people listening to music.
