The election for the second anniversary movie of Nordisk Film has now finished and the majority of the votes preferred the last movie by Erik Balling: Midt om natten. In the popular city western from 1984 with the tuneful soundtrack Kim Larsen and Erik Clausen appear in the lead roles as Benny and Arnold. The movie can be watched again free at charge in ten cinemas on May 7 all over Denmark.
Midt om natten won with 13 percent of all the votes in the first voting, pursued by the comedy Martha that got 11 percent of the votes. In the anniversary voting of Nordisk Film everybody who loves movies has the possibility to vote one of the productions from the treasury of Nordisk Film back on the white screen during the anniversary of the polar bear in 2006.

In the movie they play the two carefree friends, who make a living doing odd moonlight work. Together with a group of young ones, who the police have thrown out of some condemned houses, they establish the cosy mini free city, Haveje. Meanwhile Haveje becomes a thorn in the side of conservative politicians and business interests, and the occupiers of Haveje are attacked by a gang of bikers.

The first anniversary movie was Olsen Banden ser rødt, the next is Midt om natten, and the vote for the third anniversary movie has already begun.
The votes from the last election are not saved, so you have to vote again to get your favourite movie back to the white screen. The voting for the third anniversary movie of Nordisk Film goes on until May 10th.
During the rest of 2006 there will be a voting every month that results in the anniversary movie of the month. The following cinemas have the free anniversary screenings of Nordisk Film: Palads in Copenhagen, every BioCity-cinemas of the country, BioCenter Kolding and the Grand Thater in Randers the first Sunday of every month the rest of the year. You can be informed about the exact time in the local cinema.
