Since Nordic General Manager Jacob Houlind joined Nordisk Film TV in February 2006, the company has enjoyed a 20% increase in turnover on a Nordic level. The growth has primarily been driven by home devised formats.
The new international move for Nordisk Film TV is a natural progression of the strategy launched by Houlind, who has restructured and built up a new pan-Nordic organization in Nordisk Film TV in only 10 months.
The new International Director, Karoline Spodsberg, comes from a position as Program Manager for TV3 Denmark and prior to this she worked as an executive in Zodiak Television World taking an instrumental part in building up their success from the very beginning.
Nordic General Manager Jacob Houlind comments: “This move is in accordance with our earlier announced strategy and emphasizes our ambition to place Nordisk Film TV in a leading position in the International TV format business. Karoline´s profile and background brings us competencies in acquisition as well as in distribution and maybe most importantly she has a unique personality and drive that will enable her to build up our new International division and secure full integration with our production units in the four Nordic countries”.
Karoline’s responsibility will be to construct an International Division, in which all international activities are gathered in one, strong unit. A strategic focal point will be to exploit the synergies that exist between each of the production units in Nordisk Film TV and their market position.
