Nordisk Film is geared with a new TV organization and new names to increase the Nordic growth. Managing Director of Mastiff Media (Denmark) and TV host, Peter Hansen, is to become Nordic Creative Director of Nordisk Film TV Production. Nordisk Film is also boosted with two new Executive Producers: Rasmus Steentoft and Karen Boel Thomsen.
New key employees and increased responsibility await the new General Manager of Nordisk Film TV Production, Jacob Houlind, who takes up his position on February 1.
Today, three well-known names from the Danish TV business left their jobs to work for Nordisk Film, which is also geared for growth in the Nordic countries with a new organization. Jacob Houlind will furthermore get the Nordic responsibility for development and coordination of TV productions in Nordisk Film.
The main focus will be increased cooperation and profitability in the Nordic countries. In Norway Nordisk Film is market leading and it is behind 10 hours of prime time TV every week this autumn. In Denmark, Sweden and Finland the aim is increased growth. The TV Production signs for 10 % of the turnover in the Egmont division, Nordisk Film.
New Nordic TV management
Around Jacob Houlind a Nordic management group is established consisting of Nordisk Film’s Norwegian TV General Manager Stein-Roger Bull and Peter Hansen, who has been the Managing Director of the successful production company Mastiff Media (Denmark).
Peter Hansen has made Mastiff successful the past 4½ years, today the company attracts viewers with "Strictly Come Dancing" and “Paradise Hotel”. He is also the person behind the company’s other formats such as “The Sixth Sense”, “My True Self” and “Fit For Family”. For 10 years Peter Hansen has also been the TV host on a number of programs.
He will now be part of the Nordic TV Management in Nordisk Film as Creative Director.

I look forward to meeting my new TV colleagues in the four countries”, says Peter Hansen, who might also appear on the screen as a host.
The starting date in his new position has not yet been agreed with Peter Hansen’s current employer.
New Executive Producers
In Denmark, Nordisk Film adds the two experienced Executive Producers, Rasmus Steentoft and Karen Boel Thomsen.
Rasmus Steentoft (35) has been Editor-in-Chief on the hard-hitting documentary “Operation X”. Since 1996 Rasmus has marked a number of documentary and entertainment programs on TV 3, TV Danmark and on TV 2 in his position as Editorial Manager, Producer and Editor. Among other programs he is behind “Survivor 2004”, “A life on the border with Biker Jens” and the documentary through many years, “48 Hours”. Between 1997 and 2003 Rasmus Steentoft worked for Nordisk Film, and since then he has worked at TV 3 and the production company, Angel Productions.
He takes up his new position on January 1, 2006.
Karen Boel Thomsen (42) comes from a position as Editor for Mastiff Media (Denmark) and the past 19 years, she has been behind 35 well-known programs from all parts of the business including “Lyrics Board”, “Jeopardy”, and “The Candidates”. Between 1999 and 2003 she was the Editor in DR’s entertainment unit and since 1990 she has been Executive Producer at different companies. The career started at Kanal 2 in 1986.
Karen Boel Thomsen takes up her position in Nordisk Film on February 1, 2006.
