Nordisk Film and Maipo AS have cooperated closely for a number of years distributing Maipo’s movies in the Nordic countries. Now, the two companies are taking the next important step forward with Nordisk Film’s acquisition of a large share of of Maipo.
Nordisk Film will continue to distribute all of Maipo’s upcoming Nordic releases, and will also handle sales of the production company’s movies in the global market. Nordisk Film will be represented on Maipo’s Board of Directors.
In Norway, Nordisk Film has its own movie production, TV production, movie distribution and distribution of SONY PlayStation.

Since Maipo was founded in 2001, the company has established itself as one of the leading Norwegian film production companies. Maipo has an annual turnover of approx. EUR 4.3 million.
Maipo AS will continue its business as usual in Filmparken on Jar, and in the near future, they will be expanding their administration in order to strengthen their capacity for development and production. The remaining co-owners of Maipo AS are Dag Alveberg, Synnøve Hørsdal and Tove Mar.
