Nordisk Film celebrates its anniversary with the presentation of the Nordisk Film Award, which is for the amount of DKK 100,000 this year. Also, we will be presenting the Nordisk Film 100-year Honorary Award to a person, whose life’s work we want to emphasize. This award is also for the amount of DKK 100,000. Finally, we will be instituting Erik Balling’s Traveling Grant. At the anniversary event, we will present four grants of DKK 50,000 each.
We are expecting an anniversary day with many visitors and a very busy schedule. In order to serve everyone in the best way possible, we kindly ask all participating journalists and photographers to give notice of their participation on Friday, November 3 at 10:00 – at the latest. 14:45 - HM The Queen arrives and is received by Egmont Chairman of the Board, Ivar Samrén, Egmont CEO, Steffen Kragh, and Managing Director of Nordisk Film, Michael Ritto.
14:50 - HM The Queen visits the world’s oldest movie studio, Stage 2, as part of a guided tour. This will be a photo opportunity.
15:00 - Other invited guests (approx. 200) arrive on the red carpet.
15:15 - All guests are seated on Stage 3, the location of the award ceremony.
15:30 - HM The Queen arrives at the award ceremony on Stage 3. Welcome by the hostess of the event, actress Ellen Hillingsø. The awards are presented by Managing Director of Nordisk Films, Michael Ritto, Head of the National Film School of Denmark, Poul Nesgaard, and professor at the University of Copenhagen (Institute for Film & Media Studies), Peter Schepelern. There will be entertainment between the presentations if the awards.
17:00 - The official event ends.
From 17:30 – The gates are opened for an informal Open House in Mediehuset for everyone with a connection to Nordisk Film.
This event ends at about 21:00.
