How to make television

Producing programmes for television is a complex process. One minute of completed output is the product of much consideration and numerous choices made. But basically making television is a question of ‘what’ and ‘how’. What story should the programme tell? And how will that story be told?

You start off by developing the idea and the content. Next step is the actual production. Television is a tough trade. Many ideas are born – few make it all the way to airtime. Our goal at Nordisk Film is to make sure that all programmes that make it through the eye of the needle must be something special.

The good idea is worth nothing without proper production. Both are necessary to succeed. And success is measured by our capability to tell the best story possible each and every time we produce a programme.

At Nordisk Film we produce original ideas. And we produce Nordic versions of international programmes. There are TV production divisions in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
