Nordisk Film produces a wide range of television programmes in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. We are in charge of all kinds of programmes from drama to lifestyle. All productions take place in our own studios. The legendary old studios in Valby where it all began are now used for TV productions.
In production the original idea is specifically shaped for television. First we fine-tune the concept, and then we shoot and edit the footage.
Producing TV is not at all the same ballgame as producing movies. In TV everything has to be carried out at tremendous speed. The footage must be shot, edited and sent to the TV-station before you can say “polar bear”. It can be stressful, but at the same time it’s a lot of fun.
At Nordisk Film we produce quite a few original ideas. But we also produce Nordic versions of international shows, and export our own original concepts to the rest of the world.
