The history of the Foundation
The Nordisk Film Foundation distributes funds every year to projects with the purpose of supporting Danish film and television, artistically as well as technically.
The Nordisk Film Foundation has existed in its current configuration since 1992, when Nordisk Film became part of Egmont. The merger between the two companies resulted in formalizing The Nordisk Film Foundation.
Since 1992, The Nordisk Film Foundation has been the distributor of 10 % of the Egmont Foundation. This amount goes to supporting development and preservation of electronic and film media in Denmark.
