CTS Eventim will acquire all shares from joint venture partner Nordisk Film. Management team led by CEO Jens B. Arnesen will continue to manage Venuepoint’s business.

CTS EVENTIM, one of the world’s leading providers of ticketing and live entertainment, has acquired all remaining shares in Scandinavian company Venuepoint from its former joint venture partner Nordisk Film. As a result, CTS EVENTIM is now the sole owner of the Nordic ticketing provider, which holds leading market positions in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Alexander Ruoff, COO of CTS EVENTIM, commented that ‘The Scandinavian countries are particularly attractive to us not only because of their spending power but also because of their strong digital affinity. Therefore, we are very much looking forward to actively contributing to Venuepoint’s further growth over the long term. At the same time, I sincerely thank our former co-owners at Nordisk Film for our trustful collaboration and all the progress we have achieved over the past two years.’

Nordisk Film has been involved in Venuepoint since 2012, with CTS EVENTIM becoming its joint venture partner in March 2016. Venuepoint’s ticketing platforms are currently being migrated to CTS EVENTIM’s systems. The online portals billetlugen.dk, eventim.no and eventim.se are all part of Venuepoint.

Asger Flygare Bech-Thomsen, CEO of Nordisk Film Cinemas, said that ‘We have had an excellent partnership with CTS EVENTIM, implementing new state-of-the-art ticketing services and growing the business in our home markets. With a strong growth strategy in place, CTS EVENTIM – being the best possible sole owners – will now take Venuepoint to the next level.’

Jens B. Arnesen, CEO of Venuepoint, added that ‘Personally and on behalf of my colleagues, I want to thank Nordisk Film for all their confidence and dedication. At the same time, I’m looking forward to further developing our business with the unique expertise of Europe's leading ticketing provider CTS EVENTIM. I am sure that we will benefit not only from their resources and network, but also from the new and simplified ownership structure.’
