With 120.522 admissions in its opening weekend (175.314 incl. pre-screenings), THE KEEPER OF LOST CAUSES has become the largest opening for a local film in 2013 and the second largest opening for a local film in Denmark in more than a decade.
In terms of admissions, after the first weekend including pre-screenings in the Danish cinemas, THE KEEPER OF LOST CAUSES is also currently on par with the first installment in the hugely popular Millennium-trilogy, the adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s  THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO (2009).

The great opening of THE KEEPER OF LOST CAUSES marks a personal triumph for director Mikkel Nørgaard and Zentropa-producer Louise Vesth who is now the team behind the two biggest local openings in Denmark during the last decade, the hit comedy KLOWN (2010) and THE KEEPER OF LOST CAUSES.

The second installment THE ABSENT ONE, which will also be directed by Nørgaard, is currently shooting and set for release in autumn 2014.
