Kon-Tiki nominated for a Golden Globe

“Kon-Tiki“ and “A Royal Affair” have been nominated for a Golden Globe in the category "Best Foreign Film". Both titles are also the Norwegian and Danish candidates for an Oscar nomination.

"Kon-Tiki" is directed by the successful duo Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning, who were also the directors behind the epic drama Max Manus (2008). "Kon-Tiki" is produced by Nordisk Film Production by Aage Aaberge and the Oscar-winning producer Jeremy Thomas, Recorded Picture Company. The film has sold more than 900.000 cinema tickets in Norway.

A Royal Affair

"A Royal Affair" has been seen by a cinema audience of 500.000 since the release in March. The film is produced by Louise Vesth and Meta Louise Foldager for Zentropa with support from the Danish Film Institute and is distributed by Nordisk Film Distribution.

This year's Golden Globes will take place on Sunday, January 13th 2013.
