Nordisk Film in new partnership

Nordisk Film is happy to announce that the company will handle the Nordic distribution of all future film releases from the yet unnamed new company established by American film heavyweight David Linde and India's Reliance Entertainment.

The agreement will bring quality entertainment to the Nordic consumers, and strengthens Nordisk Film's already significant position as the leading distributor of independent film in the Nordic region.

David Linde and Reliance Entertainment have jointly announced the official formation and funding of Linde's new company, a new platform for film production and financing. Reliance Entertainment is providing the capital to finance the yet unnamed new venture. Working from a global distribution
structure combining studio and independent distribution, the company will both produce and finance projects creating a clear "brand" of films designed for the worldwide marketplace.

Outside of the Studio distributed territories, the new company will maintain a network of direct output partnerships in several key territories around the globe, serving to complete its worldwide distribution platform.

As a result of the new agreement, Nordisk Film will be distributing coming releases in theatres, on DVD and for TV in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland.

Peter Philipsen, General Manager of Nordisk Film Distribution's Independent department comments:
"We are proud and happy to announce our agreement with David Linde's new, ambitious venture. With this output deal, Nordisk Film will add a steady supply of studio-level Hollywood productions to our existing portfolio. We have worked with David Linde in the past and through the years we have experienced his professionalism and exceptional ability to pick the right projects and bring them to life. We look forward to taking part in building and supporting this new endeavour in the global film industry."

David Linde, adds: "I've long been the fortunate beneficiary of having films distributed by the extraordinarily talented people at Nordisk Film," said Linde "and I'm looking forward to working with them even more closely on all our new films."
