About ‘The Guilty’
'The Guilty,’ directed by Gustav Möller, takes place over a single night at an emergency call center and depicts a policeman's race against time to save a kidnapped woman, with the call center phone as his only tool. The film won the Audience Award at its world premiere at Sundance Film Festival and has since continued to receive a warm critical reception.

In Denmark, 139,000 tickets have been sold since it premiered in June, and in France 260,000 cinemagoers have seen the thriller so far. The film is set to be released in US theatres on October 19th by Magnolia Pictures, which also oversaw the US launch of three Danish Oscar nominated films: 'A Royal Affair,' 'The Hunt,' and 'A War.'

'The Guilty' is Gustav Möller's debut film. He wrote the script together with Emil Nygaard Albertsen, and it was produced by Lina Flint for Nordisk Film Spring with support from the Danish Film Institute's talent scheme. ‘New Danish Screen.’
