Nordisk Film Fonden is a Danish foundation that is an independent part of Egmont Fonden. Our annual donation budget of 5,000,000 DKK covers four areas supporting and empowering talents within the film industry:
Our mission towards 2021 is to strengthen digital competences, artistic entrepreneurship and great storytelling among talents in the film industry.
We help Danish talents travel the world while studying to develop their skills, gain international experience and hereby contributing to the talents' further career paths. Approximately 60 applicants per year receive the scholarship "Store Isbjørn" (DKK 25,000) or "Lille Isbjørn" (DKK 10,000). It is expected that a total DKK 1,000,000 can be granted in 2020.
The Isbjørn Project Scheme focus on creating a talent pool with the skills to solve tomorrow’s challenges in the film sector including insuring renewed creativity in storytelling.
It is expected that a total of DKK 3,000,000 can be distributed in 2020. Minimum grant is DKK 50,000 and we aim for bigger, longer and fewer projects.
Our mission towards 2021 is to focus on talent embracing the possibilities that new technologies bring us, artistic entrepreneurship and unique storytelling among talents in the film industry.
PICTURE THIS_ is a tech conference initiated and empowered by Nordisk Film Fonden dedicated to exploring the intersection of storytelling, technology and the film narrative.
