Nordisk Film Prisen

Nordisk Film Prisen was founded in 1996 by Nordisk Film Fonden.

The size of the award is Nordisk Films age x DKK 1000.

The prize committee consists of max. 6 people. The council of Nordisk Film Fonden annually appoints the chairman of the award committee on the recommendation of the director of Nordisk Film Production. The prize committee has a seat for 1 year at a time and members can sit for a maximum of 3 consecutive years and have a withdrawal period of 3 years, regardless of duration. Nordisk Film A/S's representation does not exceed 2 persons.

Nordisk Film Prisen is awarded annually for an extraordinary effort within Danish film. From 2010, it is a talent prize. The prize aims to reward a new Danish talent who has made an extraordinary effort to lift Danish film behind the camera, and thereby adding something to the Danish film environment. The recipient of the prize must be appreciated for this effort and forward-looking as inspiration for others.

From 2017, the Nordisk Film Prisen is awarded by Nordisk Film Fonden new honorary show, ISBJØRNEN, which is held every year in November in connection with Nordisk Film's birthday.

Nordisk Film Prisen recipient 2023: Lea Glob

Lea Glob received Nordisk Film Prisen 2023 for her documentary APOLONIA, APOLONIA. The documentary draws an intimate, raw and touching portrait of the life and struggle of the French artist Apolonia Sokol to succeed as a young female artist in a world dominated by patriarchy and capitalism.
