Nordisk Film will focus on original children’s content

Together with TV 2 Norway, Nordisk Film is launching the children’s universe Oiii. It is 350 hours of children’s content targeted the 3-12-year old age group and their parents that will be available on TV 2’s streaming service Sumo from December 1st – and programing from Oiii will also be shown on TV 2’s main channel.  

Nordisk Film is planning to launch the Oiii universe in Denmark and Sweden at a later stage as well and will continuously be looking for collaborators and partners in that regard. 

An important part of Oiii is the production of six original TV series every year; series that are close to the everyday life of Nordic children. The first so-called ‘Oiii’riginals’ are produced by Danish production company Drive Studios and among the first new titles are ”Oiii`gården” (“The Oiii farm”), following the life on an ecological farm in Norway, “Monstermaling” (“Monster Painting”), learning and inspiring children on how to paint faces, and the Christmas series “Jul i historiehulen” (“Christmas at the Story Cave”).

Besides these productions, Oiii consists of Nordisk Film’s catalogue of licensed animation titles for young children, e.g. “Masha and the Bear”, ”Little Charmers” and ”Bob the Builder”, TV series for youngsters, a large variety of children’s and family films and brand-new Nordic series. 

Nordisk Film has the last five years offered the digital service ”Min Bio” (“My Cinema”) for young children in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. With Oiii, Nordisk Film takes its children programming to the next level by building a brand-new children’s universe for the 3-12-year old.
