“With visually stunning production design, impressive effects and great acting, this film does indeed have it all and we are happy that international distributors have embraced this large scale Scandinavian fantasy/adventure film and look forward to letting the film meet an international audience”, says Rikke Ennis, CEO at TrustNordisk.
Based on the book by Lene Kaaberbøl, whose books have been published in more than 25 countries, THE SHAMER’S DAUGHTER tells a strong tale of greed and betrayal set in a fantastical world of dragons and supernatural powers. The film opened domestically to excellent reviews a couple of weeks ago with local critics comparing it to the HARRY POTTER-series as well as the hit-series GAME OF THRONES. So far the film has made more than 160.000 admissions in the Danish cinemas.
